A garden and a library

Well nearly ......  They are pretty good things to have.  (I also need my family and friends, food and drink, music and dancing, swimming and walking, showers, comfy bed.....etc etc)

Spring is here and I am loving the garden.  Warm sunny days, lots of new seeds to plant, peas to pick.....  It is very very dry..... the goannas are back and the chickens are freaking out and laying eggs in strange places (like under the parsley).  I am also doing lots of reading - Anne of Green Gables then an interlude of Clan of the Cave bear (remember that book?) before returning to the Anne of Green Gables saga.  I really like it, so simple and sweet but full of wise words.....

Simple Pleasures

""I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but those that just bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."  Life at Green Gables was full of such days, for Anne's adventures and misadventures, like those of other people, did not happen all at once, but were sprinkled over the year, with long stretches of harmless, happy days between, filled with work and dreams and laughter and lessons." (from Anne of Avonlea)

Hello hello.  How are you?  I haven't been here for some time, I haven't felt very computery..... but here I am again.  Life is good.  Filled with the ups and downs of daily life.  What have we been up to??

Django had a birthday and is now six!!

He would make a good warrior !!

Django had a party....Yum, birthday cake !

Some people love dressing up...I wonder who they take after?

The boys have been homeschooling this term.  Mini beasts are always good to learn about!!
All sorts of creatures have been collected and homes made.  (This one was put back in the tree)

Django invented a game - you build towers then stand back and throw blocks at the towers to smash them down.  Good idea!

Noone around here between the ages of 6 and 7 ever gets sick of building and playing with lego.

A scrap metal sculpture is in the planning and the making.

Mess is always being made.
Why can't I be magic? I would love to wriggle my nose to tidy up the house!!

Sunday afternoon fun with friends and a fire.

I did finish this dress and I did enjoy knitting during the cold winter evenings.

Thats all for now, it is time to seize the day and get on with things!!!

(with some music!!)
